About Island Meadow Farms

churchIrwin and Barb Jewell and their youngest son Randy run a mixed farming operation.  There, the Jewells grow produce, grain and forages, and breed Angus and Simmental cows.  Their calves are feed-finished in their feedlot before being shipped to market or auction.  The family also raises fresh turkeys for Christmas, and since 1999, they have been providing Islanders and visitors with premium fresh cut flowers.

Located in York, Prince Edward Island, 4 acres of the 1000-acre farm are dedicated to flower growing.  Along with their commitment to the Grow and Buy Local movement whenever possible, the Jewells practice good farming techniques such as crop rotation, ensuring sustainable agriculture for future generations.

Island Meadow Farms is a member in good standing with both The Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers and The PEI Federation of Agriculture.  Stop out to the farm to see what’s blooming!

Thank you so much for doing our flowers for our wedding.  They were absolutely perfect.  It was very special to me that many of the flowers came from York.  I was always my Nana’s girl – She would have loved that they came from your garden.  I picked out many of her favourites for my bouquet!

We hope you like these pictures and that they are useful to you when you are consulting with future clients.

Love JoAnn & Sean
